BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Will Neighbour's layup with 15 seconds left in overtime gave Arkansas-Little Rock the lead and Josh Hagins sealed the win with three free throws and a steal with two seconds left as the Trojans knocked off Western Kentucky, 87-83 Thursday.
Hagins drilled a 3-pointer with 22 seconds left in regulation to cut the Hilltoppers' lead to one, 70-69. After Brandon Harris missed the second of two free throws, Hagins hit a jumper with eight seconds left to force overtime.
Aleksej Rostov scored 20 points to lead Western Kentucky, with Harrison-Docks adding 14 and Harris 13.
UALR (9-8, 4-1 Sun Belt) swept both games with Western Kentucky (10-7, 2-2) a year ago, snapping a string of eight straight losses to the Hilltoppers.
There's nowhere to go but up for the Eagles, who were winless in the ACC last season but return a slew of young players who gained valuable experience.
