PHILADELPHIA -- Langston Galloway had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead Saint Joseph's over Marist 81-62 on Wednesday night.
Ronald Roberts Jr. contributed 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the Hawks (2-0). Halil Kanacevic also had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Chavaughn Lewis led all scorers with 26 for Marist (0-3).
The Hawks never trailed and built a 12-0 lead in the first 4 minutes en route to a 40-25 halftime advantage.
Saint Joseph's shot 49 percent from the field, including 7-of-16 from beyond the arc. Marist was also outrebounded by the Hawks 47-26.
Despite the teams being less than 200 miles apart, it was the first time they played each other.
