SAN DIEGO -- Michael Bryson scored a game-high 21 points to lead UC Santa Barbara to a 72-61 win over San Diego on Sunday.
Bryson was 8 of 12 from the field, hitting 5 of his 7 shots from 3-point range, as the Gauchos (5-3) pulled away from a 47-all tie in the second half with an 18-4 run that secured the win. Kyle Boswell contributed 12 points, including the 3-pointer that sparked the game-winning run with 8:29 left.
San Diego (8-4) trailed just 34-30 at the break and kept the score close in a game that included 19 lead changes.
