ST. LOUIS -- Grandy Glaze had 16 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double as Saint Louis pulled away from Southeast Missouri State for an 87-64 win on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.
Glaze, a junior, shot a perfect 7-of-7 from the field and was one of four Billikens to score double figures. Dwayne Evans had 16 points, Jordair Jett had 15 and Rob Loe had 13 for Saint Louis (1-0). The Billikens shot over 51 percent from the field despite going just 3-of-19 on 3-pointers.
Southeast Missouri State (0-1) closed the first half on a 16-5 run to take a 35-34 lead into halftime. Southeast Missouri State took a 4-point lead on their first possession of the second half but Saint Louis later went on a 21-2 run to pull away.
Jarekious Bradley led Southeast Missouri State with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
