Both teams shot 48 percent, but Drexel went 9 of 24 from beyond the arc, while Tennessee State was just 2 of 8 on 3-pointers.
The Tigers cut the lead to five at 31-26 after Miller made a steal and layup with 3:59 left in the first half. But Drexel closed the half on a 9-2 run to lead 40-28 at the break.
Drexel ran the lead to 15 after a Tavon Allen jumper to start the second half, and Tennessee State could never cut the lead to less than eight. Drexel's last 11 points came via free throws.
