SAN ANTONIO -- Kyle Hittle shot a perfect 9 of 9 from behind the 3-point arc and scored a career-high 32 points to lead Incarnate Word in a resounding 83-56 victory over Division II McMurry on Saturday.
Hittle scored 27 points on 3-pointers and broke a school record for most 3-pointers made without a miss. Sam Burmeister added 16 points for the Cardinals (8-1) and Anthony Horton and Justin Philippe each scored 10.
Incarnate Word jumped out to an early 11-2 lead and didn't look back as it ended the first half with a 45-27 advantage.
The War Hawks (4-3) made just five of their first 24 shots, and finished the matchup shooting 27.6 percent (21 of 76). Alex Lewis came off the bench to score 12 points, and Brandon Golden grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Cardinals have now stretched their winning streak to five games.
Forward Kennedy Meeks, who has averaged 9.4 points and 6.5 rebounds at North Carolina, has pulled out of the NBA draft and will return to the Tar Heels.
Cal big man Ivan Rabb could have been selected in the top 10 of the NBA draft. Instead, he's returning to Berkeley to make himself, and the Golden Bears, stronger.
Devin Williams' decision last month to sign with an agent and enter the NBA draft has left West Virginia in a tough spot.
