NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Deshaunt Walker scored 17 points and Thomas Walkup added 15 to lead Stephen F. Austin in its seventh straight win and a decisive 83-49 victory over Division-II Elmhurst on Saturday night.
Walker and Walkup shot above 50 percent and combined for six assists as Stephen F. Austin handled the ball well on both ends of the court. The Lumberjacks (10-2) finished with 21 steals, forced 28 turnovers and completed 23 assists.
Jacob Parker added 13 points, and threw down a dunk for the final basket of the first half to put Stephen F. Austin up 49-27.
The Blue Jays (7-3) made the first basket of the game to lead briefly, following a combined five missed shots between both teams. Taylor Baxter was the only Elmhurst player to score in double figures (12). The team finished with eight assists and seven steals.
