LAKE CHARLES, La. -- LaQuentin Miles scored 15 points and converted a three-point play with 1 second left to lift Central Arkansas past McNeese State 76-75 Thursday night.
The Bears (5-14, 2-6 Southland Conference) shot 47.3 percent from the field and hit 13 3-pointers. Aubrey Ball scored a career-high 23 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the perimeter.
Central Arkansas had moved out to a 42-25 halftime advantage, but McNeese State stormed back, opening the second half with a 24-4 run to lead by three at the midway mark.
Trailing by eight, Ball sank four 3-pointers, the last one pulling the Bears within one with 6 seconds left.
After a split pair of free throws by Eackles, Miles drove the length of the court, was fouled on a layup and sank the free throw for the win.
