BOSTON -- Carl Baptiste had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Delaware remained unbeaten in conference play Saturday with a 74-70 victory over Northeastern.
Delaware (12-7, 4-0 Colonial Athletic Association) led 69-61 with 56 seconds left after Devon Saddler made 1 of 2 free throws to cap an 8-0 run. Northeastern (5-14, 2-3) answered with a 7-0 run, closing the gap to 69-68 on Zach Stahl's layup.
Davon Usher made two free throws with 18 seconds left to put the Hens up by three and Baptiste blocked Stahl with 7 seconds left. The Huskies sent Saddler to the free-throw line where he made 1 of 2 to make it 72-68 for Delaware with 5 seconds left.
Saddler had 22 points and eight assists and Usher added 17 points.
