PRINCETON, N.J. -- Denton Koon had 17 points and a career-high 11 rebounds for his first career double-double as Princeton topped Florida A&M 67-50 on Sunday.
Princeton (1-0) held Florida A&M to under 33 percent shooting from the field and Florida A&M was just 1-of-11 on 3-pointers.
The Tigers never trailed, breaking an early tie with 10 straight points and then never relinquishing their lead. Princeton has now won 13 of its last 17 games dating back to last season.
Florida A&M (0-2) is coming off an 8-23 season and has now lost 19 of its past 23 games dating back to last year.
