WASHINGTON -- Isaiah Armwood scored a game-high 17 points and Nick Griffin added 14 for George Washington as they rolled past Delaware State 94-50 Tuesday night.
The Colonials (4-0) shot 60.3 percent from the field and were 10 of 17 on 3-point attempts. Six players scored in double figures for George Washington as Maurice Creek and Patricio Garino each had 11 and Paris Maragkos and Kevin Larsen each contributed 10.Holding a 15-8 lead midway through the first half, George Washington used a 39-11 surge to take a 35-point lead into the break.The Hornets (1-3) were just 17 of 51 on field goal attempts. They were led by Kendall Gray, who scored 15 points and grabbed a game-high six rebounds. Tyshawn Bell had 11 points for Delaware State.Griffin and Creek were each perfect on 3-point attempts for the Colonials, as Griffin hit four and Creek netted three.
