Dillard actually started strong, taking a 14-10 lead on a Jordan Kilson layup with 13:16 remaining in the first period. Alcorn State took the lead 15-14 on a Marquis Vance layup at the 10:16 point. The Braves stretched that to 43-20 at the half. The gap continued to widen until Alcorn State had a 76-36 lead with 6:37 remaining in the game.
