After losing Jameel McKay, Iowa State just needed a win on Saturday. And it was ugly. Cyclones were down 10-0 at Oklahoma State early. But Georges Niang and Monte Morris were both clutch down the stretch.

Providence was thoroughly outplayed by Villanova in the first 20 minutes. Friars fortunate to only be down 12 at the break. Dunn has six points (four in transition) and Bentil has two points and two fouls -- and largely ineffective with that ankle injury.

Wasn't pretty but Iowa State followed its 10-0 deficit with a 22-14 rally. Down 2 at halftime. Could be worse. Probably should be.

In the same way Kentucky's Skal Labissiere has shown improvement late, Duke's Chase Jeter just made the most self-assured move I've seen all season scoring off a pick & roll and getting fouled going to the basket. it may be baby steps for a player ranked in the top 10, but if he's got his confidence back that will benefit Duke while it's still without Amile Jefferson.
