Research Notes

The North Dakota State Bison won their third straight FCS National Championship on Saturday, defeating Towson in the title game, 35-7. The Bison join Appalachian State as the only teams to win three straight FCS titles (the Mountaineers accomplished the feat from 2005-07). When comparing the two teams during their runs as champions, North Dakota State has won 43 games over their three title-winning seasons to Appalachian State's 39 and won their three title game appearances by about a touchdown more per contest.
