AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Letdown? No chance for No. 6 Auburn, which rolled past Louisiana Tech 52-7 Saturday in a game the Tigers could easily have overlooked.

Instead, they got another easy victory and almost certainly a chance to continue their rapid ascent in the national rankings with losses by No. 5 Texas and No. 3 Georgia.

Still, coach Tommy Tuberville's focus was on, well, his team's focus.

"That's good to read and talk about, but it doesn't make any difference," Tuberville said. "If you're up there one week, you don't get a trophy for that."

They do get to enjoy their front-runner status as the lone remaining unbeaten in the Southeastern Conference, fresh from a 34-10 victory at Tennessee, which beat Georgia 19-14. Oklahoma topped Texas 12-0.

Next up for Auburn, 6-0 for the first time since 1997, is Western Division rival Arkansas.

Jason Campbell passed for 201 yards and two touchdowns, including a school-record 87-yarder to Silas Daniels. Ronnie Brown ran for 109 yards on 10 carries and Carlos Rogers returned an interception 53 yards for a touchdown.

"Coach has been saying all week, 'If you're No. 6, play like you're No. 6," receiver Courtney Taylor said. "We just didn't want to come out flat and we wanted to play with that swagger."

The Tigers, who have risen from preseason No. 17, have had only one game decided by under 24 points and allowed one touchdown or fewer in all but one game. Louisiana Tech (3-3) was impressed after a four-week stretch that included losses to Miami and Tennessee and a win over Fresno State.

"Auburn is a very complete team right now," Bulldogs coach Jack Bicknell said. "They've got great wide receivers, a great quarterback, great running backs and a great defense.

"They're probably one of the best teams in the country."

One of the best tailbacks didn't get much chance to shine. Louisiana Tech's Ryan Moats, the nation's No. 2 rusher, limped off the field in the first quarter with a sprained right ankle and didn't return.

"My ankle is OK," said Moats, who had no yards on three carries after averaging 185.6 per game coming in. "The doctors did not want to chance (further) injury."

The Tigers still haven't given up a rushing touchdown and collected nine sacks, forcing three turnovers.

Carnell Williams had 56 yards on 12 carries and also scored while setting up a TD with a 50-yard punt return. He wasn't fretting over his modest rushing numbers.

"The atmosphere is crazy around here," Williams said. "I wouldn't trade it."

Coming off a career game against Tennessee, Campbell supplied a characteristically efficient 13-of-18 passing performance.

The teams exchanged a flurry of big plays midway through the third quarter, mostly courtesy of Auburn.

The Tigers capped an 11-play, 99-yard drive with Campbell's 9-yard touchdown pass to Ben Obomanu midway through the third quarter. Tramon Williams nearly made a leaping interception but was bobbling the ball as he fell backward in the end zone and Obomanu scooped it out of the air.

Brown had a tackle-breaking 43-yard run to set up the TD.

The Bulldogs answered on the next play with Matt Kubik's 78-yard scoring pass to Jonathan Holland, who had slipped behind safety Will Herring down the right sideline.

Three plays later, Campbell rolled right and hit a streaking Daniels, topping Auburn's record of 85 yards, accomplished twice before.

Two minutes later, Obomanu outfought Williams again for a 37-yard score from backup quarterback Brandon Cox. Cox attempted three passes, two for touchdowns.

Moats' sub, Freddie Franklin, gained 75 yards on 13 carries after coming in with zero yards on five carries.

Auburn outgained Louisiana Tech 472-222. The Bulldogs pushed into Auburn territory five times in the first half, but couldn't get points against the nation's No. 4 scoring defense and trailed 24-0.

The Tigers broke Alabama's 17-year-old SEC record of 199 consecutive successful extra points after their first TD.
