TROY, Ala. -- Jerrel Jernigan scored two touchdowns as Troy knocked off Louisiana-Lafayette 31-24 on Saturday night.
Jernigan, who caught six passes to set Troy's career record for receptions with 219, scored on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Corey Robinson with 4:43 remaining to give Troy the lead for good. Earlier, Jernigan's 75-yard punt return for a score put the Trojans (4-2, 3-0 Sun Belt Conference) up 21-17 in the second quarter.
