KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Alex Carder threw for three touchdowns and added a rushing score, and Western Michigan rolled up 578 yards of offense to beat Bowling Green 45-21 on Saturday in the Broncos' homecoming game.
Carder opened the scoring for Western Michigan (4-2, 2-0 Mid-American Conference) with a 1-yard run early in the first quarter. In the second, he found Chris Prom for a 1-yard score and Jordan White for a 9-yarder. He added a 26-yarder to White in the third. Carder finished 18 for 26 for 212 yards, with one interception, plus 95 yards rushing.
