HANOVER, N.H. -- Nick Schwieger carried 29 times for 157 yards and three touchdowns as Dartmouth kept Columbia winless with a 37-0 Ivy League rout on Saturday.
Schwieger, the all-time rushing leader for the Big Green (3-4, 2-2), scored on an 18-yard run in the second quarter to make it 16-0, before adding third-quarter scores of 23 yards and 21 yard.
Greg Patton scored on touchdown runs of 5 and 16 yards for Dartmouth, which also got a first-quarter safety when a bad snap sailed over the head of Columbia's punter.
The Lions (0-6, 0-3) got a break at the start of the game when they recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff at the Dartmouth 32. But they gained just 2 yards on four plays to lose the ball on downs.
Dartmouth outgained Columbia 426 yards to 148 and maintained possession for 37:51.
