Owens completed 27 of 36 passes, including two to Cordale Scott for touchdowns. Owens' third TD pass was a 43-yarder to Bernard Reedy, one of Reedy's 10 receptions. Scott's second TD reception, a 7-yarder with 4:59 to play, clinched it for Toledo.

But then Scott's second TD catch clinched it.
