CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Casey Brockman completed 38 of 43 passes for 455 yards and five touchdowns to lead Murray State to a 52-14 victory against Austin Peay on Saturday night.
Walter Powell caught nine passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns -- including one for 71 yards -- for Murray State (3-3, 2-1 Ohio Valley Conference). Dontel Watkins also caught two TD passes for the Racers. Backup KD Humphries was 2-for-2 passing with 30 yards and a score.
Austin Peay (0-6, 0-4) scored 14 second-quarter points to close the gap to 17-14, but the Racers scored the next 35 points en route to amassing 549 total yards. Ten Murray State players caught passes, with four on the receiving end of touchdowns.
