LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Aldreakis Allen rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns to lead Liberty to a 26-12 Big South Conference victory over Charleston Southern on Saturday.
Allen's scoring runs covered 56, 35 and 30 yards as the Flames (4-5, 3-1) amassed 302 yards on the ground, the fourth time this season Liberty has surpassed 200 yards rushing. It was Allen's fourth 100-yard game of the season.
It was Liberty's seventh consecutive victory over Charleston Southern for an 18-2 advantage in the series.
Two more wins would likely secure a playoff bid for Clemson, and No. 14 North Carolina is rolling but has a lot of ground to make up in the rankings.
The Big 12 finally got into the top four with Oklahoma, while Baylor and Oklahoma State also still have a shot at cracking the top spots.
