TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Anthony Philyaw ran for a career-best 121 yards as Howard snapped a four-game losing streak to beat Florida A&M 21-10 on Saturday.
Philyaw ran for two touchdowns after setting up the Bison's first score on a 62-yard run to the FAMU 1-yard line. Howard (2-5, 1/3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) scored on each of its first three possessions to go ahead 21-3 in the second quarter.
The Rattlers (2-5, 1-2) scored their only touchdown on a 2-yard run by Lemond Buice to cap a 75-yard drive before the end of the half.
From there, the Bison defense held the Rattlers completely in check, allowing only one first down throughout the second half.
