West, who completed 11 of his 17 passes for 138 yards, got help from DaMarcus James, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown. Eli Jenkins put the Gamecocks (6-2, 2-2) on the board with a touchdown run from the 6-yard line in the first quarter, while Earl Calloway and Anthony Johnson both caught TD passes.
