NEWARK, Del. -- Brent Caprio threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns to lead William & Mary to a 24-10 victory over Delaware Saturday.
Delaware (7-3, 4-2 Colonial Athletic Association) took a quick lead when Travis Hawkins returned the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown, setting a new school record.

William & Mary (7-3, 4-2) tied the score when Jerome Couple scooped up a fumble forced by Jared Velasquez and returned it 51 yards for the touchdown, then took the lead when John Carpenter hit a 47-yard field goal to give the Tribe a 10-7 lead with 28 seconds left in the first quarter.
The Tribe defense held Delaware to 170 total yards.
