THIBODAUX, La. -- Ryan Howard threw two touchdown passes as Central Arkansas scored 17 straight points and held off Nicholls State 17-10 on Saturday.
Howard was 17 of 27 for 150 yards and threw a TD pass to Clay Murphy (7 yards) and Desmond Smith (48 yards) in Central Arkansas's last road game of the season. Smith finished with 140 receiving yards for the Bears (6-5, 3-3 Southland Conference).
