Houston comes into this game with two banged up quarterbacks: starter Greg Ward Jr. and backup Kyle Postma. Ward (ankle) is warming up with the first team offense in pregame 7-on-7. Leading rusher Kenneth Farrow is not dressed out. It appears he won't play, which is a big blow for Houston's running game.

Rooting interest today for Notre Dame: Navy over Houston, TCU over Baylor, Nebraska over Iowa. Committee loves Navy, which is ND's best win to date. If Mids win today and Temple wins Saturday, ND will have wins against both teams in AAC title game. Baylor loss eliminates Bears from Big 12 title contention and the possibility of jumping ND for playoff spot. Iowa loss would make it tough for Hawkeyes to make Playoff even if they beat MSU/OSU/Mich in Big Ten title game.

ICYMI: Texas Tech gets tricky for TD

The Red Raiders lined up like they would kneel the ball and run out the clock against Texas. Instead, Jakeem Grant surprised everyone, took the ball and raced 40 yards for the score.

OTD: Cowboys lasso crazy interception

On this date in 2010, Oklahoma State's Brodrick Brown gave new meaning to the tip drill when he leaped out of bounds to deflect the ball back into play, where LB Shaun Lewis then completed the improbable interception.

Legendary guitarist Slash will join the Trojans' band in playing the national anthem ahead of Saturday's "Battle for Los Angeles" vs. UCLA (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2/WatchESPN). The former Guns N' Roses star is the first guest artist to accompany the band. Also set to be present during halftime's Star Wars performance? Luke Skywalker himself -- actor Mark Hamill.

Texas Tech scores TD on miracle tipped pass

Texas appeared to have a certain interception, but in the spirit of giving, a collision popped the ball into the hands of Texas Tech's Jakeem Grant, who took it 65 yards to the house.

The highest ranked Group of 5 team, No. 15 Navy (9-1), is here at TDECU Stadium in Houston for a big game against the 10-1 Cougars. Much at stake for both teams: the winner wins the American Athletic Conference's West Division and will host the conference championship game.

Rittenberg: Nkemdiche's impact

Robert Nkemdiche might never win an SEC or national title. Still, because he chose to play for Ole Miss and changed the way recruits view the program, the Rebels might win one soon. New and fresh

Daymon Gardner

How did he hold on to that?

UCF may have finished the season 0-12, but you can't blame WR Justin Holman, who made the catch and did a full flip in the air before landing.

No one can bring down Chris Warren III

Texas lost a wild one to Texas Tech, but may have found a star in RB Chris Warren III, who went off for 276 yards and 4 TDs, including this 91-yard score in which he broke about a hundred tackles all the way down the field.

The meaning of thanksgiving ...

It's something the UCF Knight and USF Bull are having a hard time figuring out.

Texas RB Chris Warren rushed for a school freshman record 276 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries against Texas Tech. In his first career start, with three of the Longhorns' top four backs injured, Warren was unstoppable. He became the fourth back to rush for 200+ yards against Tech this season.
