Motley, Ford connect for three TDs in win

It might not silence critics for long, but Virginia Tech's Frank Beamer and Brendan Motley will get some relief this week after a 28-13 over NC State. As for the Wolfpack, a popular preseason ACC Atlantic dark horse, they've been exposed the last two games after a cupcake nonconference slate helped them to a 4-0 start.

Hokies RB score 59-yard TD

Virginia Tech may have sealed this rainy ACC game after Travon McMillan scampered down the left sideline 59 yards for the TD, to give his team a 28-13 lead over NC State with 6:47 left.

According to LSU athletic director Joe Alleva, there have been 38,000 tickets sold for Saturday's South Carolina-LSU game that had to be moved to Baton Rouge because of flooding in Columbia. He had hoped to sell 50,000 tickets.
