SPOKANE, Wash. -- In its first close game in months, 11th-seeded Gonzaga didn't panic as it traded late leads with sixth-seeded Iowa in an NCAA tournament first-round game.The Bulldogs trailed at halftime and at various points in the second half, something they didn't experience much as they beat opponents by an average of more than 25 points per game this season.

• For the sixth straight year, at least one 11-seed picks up a first-round win in the NCAA tournament.
• Gonzaga's Courtney Vandersloot (34 points) and Kayla Standish (30 points) each set career highs.
• The 92 points are the most Gonzaga has ever scored in a tournament game.
• Gonzaga scored the second-most points everby a team seeded 11th or higher. Only 11-seeded Stephen F. Austin scored more (93 in 1996).
