Vikings-Chiefs Preview
| SCOUTING REPORT |
Offensive struggles may continue for ChiefsThe Vikings are reeling after a last-minute loss to San Francisco and are going to be coming out with a point to prove. The Chiefs, meanwhile, are still trying for their first win and statistically, it doesn't look like it will come easily. The Chiefs are one of the lowest scoring teams in the NFL, averaging just 6.5 points per game, while the Vikings have one of the stingiest defenses in the league, giving up just 11.5 points per game. Still, the Chiefs tend to play well at Arrowhead Stadium, so maybe the stats won't matter as much. |

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Fullback Tony Richardson was inactive Sunday for Minnesota, denying Kansas City fans a chance to see one of their favorite players of the past five years.
Richardson, who signed with the Vikings as a free agent last year, was inactive for the second game in a row with a forearm injury.
The Vikings listed Tarvaris Jackson, who was slowed all week with a groin injury, as the third quarterback. Also inactive were running back Chester Taylor, defensive tackle Fred Evans, defensive end Erasmus James, tight end Garrett Mills and wide receiver Troy Williams and tackle Chase Johnson.
The Chiefs' inactives included defensive tackle James Reed, fullback Boomer Grigsby and safety Jon McGraw. Eddie Kennison, their No. 1 wide receiver, was inactive for the second straight week after injuring his hamstring on the first offensive series in the season opener at Houston.
