| ESPN Fantasy Projection (last updated: May 15, 2009) |
2009 Season Outlook Chastise our prognostication abilities on a lot of players, but give us props on Bulger. We thought he was due for a big fall after a misleadingly good '06 season, then didn't believe he'd bounce back last year. He's got a great big contract, so he's locked in as the Rams' starter, and honestly, he's not an unskilled guy. He can look great when he's got time, but under pressure, he's a disaster: He forces the issue, is inaccurate and hands the ball to the other team a lot. You can admire the Rams for drafting solid left tackle Jason Smith No. 2 overall, but it's hard to argue he'll instantly be better than departed Orlando Pace. It's not the mid-2000s anymore. Seek fantasy help elsewhere. |

The New York Jets jumped up to No. 5 to take USC quarterback Mark Sanchez in the 2009 NFL draft, and the Detroit Lions are hoping a similar scenario allows them to trade down from the No.
Adam Schefter | ESPN.com (61 days ago)Had there not been such a worthy successor in Green Bay in Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre might have taken the John Elway route and stayed in Lambeau a bit longer. Plus, what's up with the QB situations in Oakland, St. Louis, Seattle and San Francisco?
