2009 Season Outlook What a strange journey for Michael Vick. In a few short weeks, he went from unemployed ex-con to Eagles project to, now, possibly being a factor in some Eagles offensive packages designed to exploit his skills. However, Donovan McNabb is the Eagles' quarterback and Michael Vick is three years removed from NFL competition and, as intriguing as it might be to imagine his role in the offense, he won't be able to produce starter-worthy numbers in just a few plays a week. He's a last-guy-before-I-take-my-defense-and-kicker kind of player you stick on your bench until injuries pile up to the point that you can't afford to keep him anymore. |
