Player News (last updated: November 23, 2009)
News: Leinart's teammate Kurt Warner (head) is expected to play in Week 12 at Tennessee, the Cardinals' official site reported after head coach Ken Whisenhunt's Monday press conference.
Spin: While an official decision is probably at least a few days away, it sounds like Warner will be in the starting lineup and Leinart will be on the bench in Week 12. Leinart is receiving widespread criticism for the fact that he was unable to lead the Cardinals to any points in more than two quarters of Week 11 action. Whisenhunt defended Leinart on Monday and said that he called conservative plays to defend an 18-point lead and avoid turnovers and lost yardage. Also, two of Leinart's drives came to premature endings, one because of a dropped pass by Chris Wells and the other because of a fumble by Anthony Becht.
