KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- He cut left, then right, then stutter-stepped and actually ran backward toward the end zone.
Surrounded by Denver tacklers and just a couple of yards from the goal line, Dante Hall cut back left, looped around to the outside and darted 93 yards into the end zone -- and the record book.| Allen's Analysis | |||
He's definitely the right fit for this team. He offers them creativity and the possibility for broken plays to still net a positive gain. He's also done a good job of fostering the on-field relationship with his young receiver Ashley Lelie. That relationship is paying dividends as it gives the Broncos another receiving threat.
Question on the Chiefs: Are the Chiefs the team to beat in the AFC? Eric Allen played cornerback for 14 NFL seasons with the Eagles, Saints and Raiders. |
Game notes
Elam's 48-yard field goal moved him past former Chiefs kicker Pete Stoyanovich for 20th place on the NFL's career scoring list. ... Portis' 65-yard touchdown run was the longest of his career and the longest run by a Bronco since Mike Anderson's 80-yard touchdown run against Seattle in 2000. ... Gonzalez has caught a pass in 41 consecutive games. He tied Otis Taylor for second on the Chiefs career receptions list with 410.
