Braylon Edwards caught his 13th touchdown pass of the season Sunday, tying Gary Collins for a Browns franchise record.
Edwards' TD catch was his 13th, tying the single-season team mark set by Gary Collins in 1963. ... Rhodes extended his interceptions streak to four games. ... Cotchery finished with six catches for 119 yards, despite having his injured right index finger heavily wrapped.
Credit goes to Cleveland defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, who dialed up a lot of pressure against the Jets' offense. The Browns heated up the Jets with blitzes from every angle and played man coverage on the outside. Jets rookie quarterback Kellen Clemens was forced to make some quick decisions, which was exactly what the Browns wanted. Case in point: Browns rookie corner Brandon McDonald’s interception. A blitz forced Clemens to make a quick vertical hot read, and McDonald took advantage of the poor decision and picked off the pass. Another example: Browns safety Sean Jones’ interception in the end zone early in the game, which stole the Jets' momentum. The Browns' defense forced Clemens to beat them, and he couldn’t do it.
