Steelers climb back, hang on for OT victory as Ravens lose first of season
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers were down by 10 points, and down to their fourth and last running back. Somehow, they found an offense that was missing for most of three quarters and a way to win a game that easily could have been lost.Jeff Reed kicked a 46-yard field goal in overtime and the Steelers withstood two season-ending injuries to key players and a bad first half to outlast the Ravens 23-20 on Monday night.
• The Steelers extended their own NFL record, winning their 14th straight home Monday Night Football game.
• Pittsburgh didn't allow a sack in the second half after giving up three in the first half.
• The Ravens lost their fifth straight game on Monday night, the third-longest current streak in the league.
• The Steelers scored 14 points over a 15-second stretch in the third quarter. They had scored a total of nine points in their last seven quarters.
