Garcia leads Bucs past Panthers in first start since season opener
TAMPA, Fla. -- Jeff Garcia knows the drill.Benched quarterbacks must wait patiently for chances to show they deserve playing time, then have to make the most of those opportunities.
• The Buccaneers snapped a five-game home losing streak against the Panthers as Jeff Garcia won his fifth straight start vs. Carolina.
• The Panthers were held to just 40 rushing yards after going for 205 last week against the Chiefs.
• Carolina had not allowed a TD in nine consecutive quarters before allowing two in the first quarter Sunday.
• Warrick Dunn rushed for 115 yards, his first 100-yard game as a Buc since doing so against St. Louis on Dec. 18, 2000.
