Pasquarelli: Raiders Woes
It's tough to imagine the Raiders getting much worse after the Giants' easy blowout, writes Len Pasquarelli. Story
• The Giants are 5-0 for the third time in their history and first time since 1990 when they started 10-0 en route to a Super Bowl title. The team's other 5-0 start came in 1941.
• Eli Manning (sore heel) started for the 83rd consecutive time (including playoffs) and played most of the first half, going 8-of-10 for 173 yards and two touchdowns.
• Manning's passer rating was a perfect 158.3; he's just the fourth Giants quarterback since 1960 (and the first since Kerry Collins in 2002) to compile a perfect passer rating with a minimum of 10 attempts.
• The Giants outgained the Raiders 483-124, backed by Ahmad Bradshaw who carried 11 times for 110 yards and two scores. It was his third career 100-yard game. Bradshaw's two rushing TDs in the first quarter equaled his total of rush TDs in his first 31 career games.
