PHILADELPHIA -- Michael Vick 2, Manning brothers 0.
LeSean McCoy ran 50 yards for a go-ahead score on a fourth-and-1 late in the fourth quarter, and the Philadelphia Eagles rallied to beat the New York Giants 27-17 after blowing a 13-point lead Sunday night.Vick looked a little more ordinary after a spectacular performance in a 59-28 win over Washington on Monday night, but he led the Eagles (7-3) to a comeback win nonetheless, and into sole possession of first place in the NFC East.More from Giants vs. Eagles

Giants quarterback Eli Manning tried to be like Mike on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles ... and failed, writes ESPNNewYork.com's Ian O'Connor. Story

Research Notes
In Need of a Third Option
Entering Sunday, the Giants were fifth in the NFL in yards per attempt (7.4) when using three or more wide receivers. And that's even including games since Steve Smith has been injured. But Sunday night, Eli Manning completed just nine of 21 attempts for 63 yards with similar personnel on the field, throwing one touchdown and two interceptions. |
The Giants defense did a nice job containing Vick on Sunday, keeping the Eagles QB in the pocket on 39 of his 47 dropbacks (83.0 percent). When Vick did manage to get outside the pocket, he averaged fewer than five yards per carry and didn't run for a first down on any of his six scrambles. Conversely, five of Vick's six scrambles led to first downs against the Redskins last week. |
Michael Vick left the pocket on eight of his 47 dropbacks against the Giants. He rolled to his left five times, scrambling once for five yards and completing two of four passes for 18 yards and a first down. On the three occasions Vick rolled to the right (his non-throwing side), he attempted no passes and scrambled three times for 13 yards and no first downs. |
