PITTSBURGH -- The Steelers returned to the Steel Curtain days of the 1970s. The Raiders went back to the bad old days of the last seven years.
There were punches and penalties, a Steelers defense that wouldn't stop and a Raiders offense that couldn't get started. One week after getting embarrassed by the Patriots, a year after losing to Oakland, James Harrison and the Steelers tossed around the Raiders like it was a playground pickup game while beating them 35-3 on Sunday. What A Rush
As opposed to a week ago, the Steelers' defense created much better results with five-plus pass rushers vs. the Raiders than they did against the Patriots.

Research Notes
From Elias: The Steelers had 163 penalty yards, won by 32 points.
That's the most penalty yards by a team that won a game by 32+ in the NFL's modern era (since 1933).
The previous mark was 162 by the 1950 Rams in a 70-27 win over the Colts. |

After a rash of penalties, the Steelers are beginning to wonder if they're a target, ESPN.com's James Walker writes.
