Research Notes
NEXT-LEVEL: Cutler finished with a perfect passer rating (7-8, 133 yds, 2 TD) with two or more tight-ends on the field Sunday. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
NEXT-LEVEL: The Bears' conservative defense did a good job of limiting Michael Vick's opportunities to do something he loves, throw deep. Vick threw more than 10 yards downfield on 27% of his attempts, down from his season average of 34%. While Vick was still effective throwing deep (130.6 passer rating on throws of more than 10 yards), he was forced into shorter throws. The Bears did this by sending four or fewer pass rushers on 77% of Vick's pass attempts, leaving plenty of defenders in coverage. [+]Vick By Throw Distance - Percent of attempts 2010 Season

NEXT-LEVEL: The key play of the game for the Bears may have been their second rush of the day. Matt Forte's 61-yard run would keep the Eagles' defense honest and Jay Cutler used the play-action fake to near perfection thereafter. [+]Jay Cutler, Play Action Passing - 2010 Regular Season

NEXT-LEVEL: Entering the game, the Eagles led all teams in lowest passer rating allowed and were the only team in the NFL that had not allowed a touchdown pass down the right sideline. Without injured cornerback Asante Samuel, the Eagles struggled to defend against Jay Cutler's throws in that direction. [+]Eagles' Pass Defense, Throws to the Right Sideline
