Research Notes
Donald Brown was contacted five yards into the backfield on his 80-yard touchdown run, giving him 85 yards after contact on the play. That's the most yards after contact on a rush play this season, eclipsing LeGarrette Blount's 53 yards in Week 11 against the Packers. |
From Elias: The 13-0 Packers lost and the 0-13 Colts won on the same day.
This is the 3rd day in NFL history in which a team that was at least 10-0 lost and a team at least 0-10 lost on the same day.
The others:
November 18, 1984 Bills (0-11) won; Dolphins (11-0) lost
December 13, 1953 Cardinals (0-10-1) won; Browns (11-0) lost |
From Elias: The Colts took the lead 3-0 on a FG. They had gone the previous 8 games without a lead at any point.
That tied the modern NFL record (since 1933) for the most consecutive games without a lead in any point in a game with the 1943 Bears, who also went 8 straight. |
