INDIANAPOLIS -- All Chuck Pagano asked the Indianapolis Colts to do was focus on football.
Andrew Luck and Reggie Wayne did that -- and a little more to honor their ailing coach.Luck Passes Peyton
With his career-best 362-yard passing effort Sunday, Andrew Luck set a Colts rookie QB record. The 18-point comeback also was the best by a rookie quarterback since Matthew Stafford led a 21-point rally for the Lions vs. the Browns in 2009.

Pagano's Letter to Colts
Ailing Colts coach Chuck Pagano sent a letter to his players last week. Here is what he wrote:
Dear Colts Family,
On behalf of the Pagano Family, we want to say thank you for all the love and support that you have shown. We can never repay you, but just know that we Love you all and we will always have your backs. We could not get through this without all of you!
All the cards, notes, texts, emails have all been read and digested. It's overwhelming. But right on time.
We will all be better in the long run. Thanks to all the survivors and your personal stories. They are truly inspiring. I know I will beat this, and hearing all the special success stories make the days much better!
You know I am going crazy in here, but nobody understands process better than all of us Colts.
My condition will not determine my position. I understand the condition but choose to focus on my position. That is to stay positive and SERVE.
WE WILL, WE CAN, WE MUST. WE HAVE NO CHOICE. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. WE WILL OVERCOME.
IT'S ALL IN THE PROPER STATE OF MIND.
There is no better owner in the NFL, period! He has built an organization based on Faith, Family and Football. Don't ever mistake the ORDER.
We all have a job to do. We know and understand that. That's why we signed up for it. We knew there were going to be tough times. This is not for everybody, but I know deep in my heart we are all here because we're supposed to be.
Focus on being 500 by 4:30pm on Sunday. Nothing else. LASER SHARPE FOCUS. That has to be our mind set.
60 minutes, all you got, one play at a time!
WIN!
Respectfully,
Coach P

Research Notes
From Elias: The AP first named an NFL MVP in 1957. Today, Andrew Luck became just the 7th rookie QB to defeat a reigning MVP QB. And prior to this season, Charlie Batch was the only one to mount a 4th quarter comeback, leading the Lions past Brett Favre and the Packers in 1998. NEXT LEVEL: The Colts sacked Aaron Rodgers five times in the second half, all while sending at least five pass rushers. That surpasses their sack total with such pressure this season, and matches their sack total with extra pressure all of last year. Rodgers was under constant pressure in the second half as he was sacked or forced to scramble nine times, compared with just one time in the first half. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
NEXT LEVEL: Andrew Luck completed 12 of 22 (54.5 percent) passes traveling more than 10 yards downfield Sunday, including four completions on the final drive. Aaron Rodgers completed just 3 of 11 (27.3 percent) passes on throws of the same distance. [+]Passing More Than 10 Yards Downfield, Sunday

Reggie Wayne caught 13 passes for 212 yards and a touchdown Sunday, bringing his season total to 36 catches through his first four games. That's a career high for Wayne through the first four games of a season, and Sunday's game was a reflection of how effective the Luck-Wayne combination has been. Luck was 6-of-8 for 90 yards and the game-winning touchdown when targeting Wayne in the fourth quarter alone. [+]Andrew Luck by Receiver, Sunday vs Packers
