GREEN BAY, Wis. -- If any more Green Bay receivers go down, the Packers could always use Morgan Burnett.
With Minnesota rolling behind Adrian Peterson, the Green Bay safety picked off Christian Ponder twice in the red zone in the second half Sunday. Mason Crosby converted the miscues into a pair of field goals, James Starks gave Green Bay its first touchdown on the ground in almost two months and the Packers overcame Peterson's monster day for a 23-14 win.More Vikings-Packers Coverage

Research Notes
Christian Ponder had a season-low 3.1 Total QBR in Sunday's loss against the Packers.
Ponder has posted a QBR under 20.0 in 5 of his last 6 games after having no such games in the 1st 6 weeks of the season. |
The Vikings passing game really struggled to produce outside the numbers, particularly when Christian Ponder targeted wide receivers. Ponder finished 1-of-10 for 7 yards targeting wide receivers outside the numbers, with an interception and three passes defended. It was the first time this season Ponder hasn't completed at least three passes to wide receivers outside the numbers, posting season lows in yards per attempt and completion percentage. |
Adrian Peterson rushed for 210 yards on 21 rushes and a touchdown Sunday against the Packers. Peterson gained 143 rush yards after contact, 117 of which came on two rushes. Peterson had an 82-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and a 48-yard rush to open the second half. Those two runs alone would have totaled the highest single-game yards after contact total by any player this season. |
From Elias: Adrian Peterson: 21 rushes for 210 yards.
He's the first player in NFL history with pair of games of 200 or more yards rushing AND an average of at least 10 yards per carry for the game.
He had 20 rushes for 224 yards against the Bears in 2007. |
