German wide receiver Moritz Boehringer became the first 2016 draft pick to sign his contract when he finalized his deal with the Vikings on Monday night. Boehringer, whom the Vikings selected with the 180th overall pick, was the first player to be drafted directly from Europe on Saturday. The Vikings were the first team to sign their entire 2015 draft class, when they got deals done with all of their players before the start of their rookie camp, and they appear to be working toward the same goal this year.

The Steelers declined the fifth-year option on outside linebacker Jarvis Jones, per source. He's a free agent after 2016.

Steelers one of the few NFL teams without a decision on the fifth-year option for 2013 first-rounders. They have until midnight to pick up or decline the option on outside linebacker Jarvis Jones, the 17th overall pick that year. The long wait might suggest the team will decline. If that's the case, the Steelers will own his rights in 2016, then Jones would hit free agency.

"Power" is the big thing Bengals DE Margus Hunt is trying to hone this year. To get more of it, he went back to his old Olympic-style training methods this offseason. It means he's been doing more cleans, jerks and snatches as part of his training regimen. He's been working alongside former college track teammate and French Olympian (hammer throw) Jérôme Bortoluzzi as he trains for Rio.

The Patriots waived CB Rashaan Melvin and LB James Vaughters on Monday. Both were longshots to earn roster spots. The team is making moves to clear room for some rookie free agents.
