Just spoke to agent Bus Cook about a report that his client, former Titans right tackle David Stewart, was killed in a car crash: "There is absolutely no truth to that rumor. I just talked to David 15 minutes ago. He's down in Alabama working on his farm."

By my unofficial count, appears missing Bengals at today's OTA are: Rey Maualuga, Jake Fisher, Cedric Ogbuehi, James Wright, Tyler Eifert, Ryan Hewitt, Alex Redmond and Brandon Thompson. Fisher, Maualuga and Eifert (ankle surgery) are not here at all. The others are present but not practicing.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera says the offense should be better this year with wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin back from a knee injury. He says the entire team should be better.

Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin isn't wearing a brace or babying his left knee that underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL last summer. He also isn't participating in team drills. Here is more of what he had to say.

After the birth of his son Tripp last week, AJ McCarron is back to work with the Bengals alongside Andy Dalton and other QBs.

Back to work in Cincinnati. Week 2 of OTAs have begun for the Bengals.

Panthers DTs Star Lotulelei, Kawann Short and Paul Soliai were out taking care of personal issues. That gave first-round pick Vernon Butler a lot of first team reaps. Coach Ron Rivera can't wait to see the tape.

Good morning from the first day of the Arizona Cardinals last week of OTAs. It's hot out here today.

Who brought the dogs back?

The campaign started through social media, but a local TV broadcast helped return Texans LB Whitney Mercilus' dogs (Rocky and Princess) to him. How it happened

I spoke with David Quessenberry a few weeks ago and he was optimistic, about 15 months from when his cancer entered remission. He had gained back a lot of the weight he lost during his treatments and was practicing with the team. We'll hear from Bill O'Brien after today's OTA session for more on Quessenberry's situation and why the Texans feel he won't play this season.

Rob Demovsky ESPN Staff Writer

On the last day of May, 20 of the 31 first-round draft picks are under contract. Packers' Kenny Clark among the 11 unsigned. Would expect his deal to be done in mid-June when he returns from UCLA.

Tania Ganguli ESPN Staff Writer

The Texans waived offensive lineman David Quessenberry today, but are hoping to have him back in some capacity if he clears waivers. One option is the non-football injury list upon which Quessenberry could not be placed unless he was waived first. It's possible he returns in a role other than as a player.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

The Jets' invisible wide receivers -- Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall -- are back at practice today. They skipped the opening week in what appeared to be a show of solidarity for the unsigned Ryan Fitzpatrick. Unfortunately, today's practice is closed to the media. We'll have to wait until tomorrow to get their take.

Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin is moving well. You wouldn't know he had ACL surgery last summer by what he is doing today.

The Bills have signed free-agent LB Jamari Lattimore, formerly of the Jets and Packers. Lattimore projects to compete for a spot on special teams for the Bills. He has appeared in 64 career games (nine starts) and has 68 tackles, two sacks and one interception, plus 22 solo and eight assisted special teams tackles.
