Adrian Peterson is donating $100,000 to flood relief efforts in his hometown of Palestine, Texas after floods there killed six over the weekend. Peterson is asking fans to donate, either by texting "AP28" to 51555 or visiting the Salvation Army's site for relief efforts here:

The Lions waived their second tight end in as many days, cutting Jordan Thompson with a failed physical designation. Thompson, out of Ohio, was thought at one time to be the heir apparent to Don Muhlbach at long-snapper. That role is now likely filled by sixth-round pick Jimmy Landes.

Gano had both punters on the Carolina roster -- Swayze Waters and Michael Palardy -- with him as he visited Charlotte Motor Speedway for a little kicking with NASCAR driver Austin Dillon.
