CAPS EXTEND TWO WINNING STREAKS WITH ONE VICTORY

The Capitals posted their 14th consecutive victory by overcoming a 4-1 deficit to defeat the Penguins, 5-4. That's the longest winning streak ever extended by a victory in which the team trailed by three goals. The previous high was by the Flyers, who posted their 13th straight win in November 1985 after the Islanders scored the game's first three goals. That wasn't the only streak that the Caps extended on Sunday. Washington's win over Pittsburgh was its seventh straight on Super Bowl Sunday, dating back to 1998.
